Deborah's General Counsel journey began in June 2018, after many years in private practice at Skadden and five years as the Deputy GC and Chief Compliance Officer of a publicly-traded company. She quickly learned that the GC role was unlike any she had previously held. Recognizing a significant gap, it was clear that new GCs not only needed a dedicated program for their professional development but also a supportive community to thrive in their roles. Determined to fill this void, she took the initiative to build one from the ground up.

RSGC is about forging meaningful connections for women General Counsel early in their career. Through intimate events in cities like Chicago, Atlanta, and New York City, RSGC provides a unique platform for these professionals to come together, share experiences, and ask those tough questions in a supportive, hand-raising environment.

RSGC focuses on providing content tailored to the role of a General Counsel early in their career, while also addressing issues universal to female lawyers. Participants gain valuable insights into presenting to boards, navigating C-suite dynamics, and amplifying their voices. The discussions are candid, honest, and direct, facilitated by experienced general counsel panelists.

Community

RSGC is more than an event; it's a close-knit community. It's a space where attendees and panelists can speak openly, ask tough questions, and find the guidance they need. This supportive community extends beyond the events, with follow-up gatherings and plans for expansion to new areas, welcoming diversity and inclusivity among members united in their quest for success as General Counsel.
